Pilates (puh-LAH-teez) is a low impact system of flexibility and strengthening exercises used to:

  • Tone and build muscle

  • Improve posture, postural awareness, and balance

  • Increase fluidity of movement

  • Balance mind, body, and spirit

  • Integrate appropriate breath with exercise


Focusing on the "powerhouse," which consists of your stomach, back, and gluteal muscles,

you will learn safe and effective ways to gain core strength while creating a long and lean

physique.  Ultimately, pilates teaches us to maximize the efficiency of our daily movements

while minimizing unnecessary stress and strain to the body.
